IPC quality standards and training
IPC is a United States-based global trade association which produces the world’s most widely used quality standards for electronics production. As an official IPC distributor, all IPC publications can be purchased from Scanditron with payment by invoice.
See the IPC tree

IPC-A-610 is the most widely used electronics assembly standard in the world. IPC-A-610 illustrates industry-accepted workmanship criteria for electronics assemblies through full-color photographs and illustrations. Topics include lead free, component orientation and soldering criteria for through-hole, SMT and discrete wiring assemblies, mechanical assembly, cleaning, marking, coating, and laminate requirements. The standard is available in English, Swedish, Danish, Polish and other languages.
IPC A-610 is used together with the soldering material and process standard IPC J-STD-001.
J-STD-001 is world-recognized as the sole industry-consensus standard covering soldering materials and processes.
Scanditron is an IPC official certification centre and offers both CIT (Certified IPC Trainer) and CIS (Certified IPC Specialist) training in IPC A-610 and IPC J-STD-001. For more information please see
